Jakub Mlynář, Ph.D.

    Jakub Mlynář has obtained his PhD in sociology at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University in Prague. His main research interests are related to sociology of memory, narrative and identity, history of sociology, sociological theory, and ethnomethodology. In particular, he is exploring the possible overlaps of those diverse areas. Apart from his sociological research, from 2010 to 2016 he was the coordinator of the Malach Center for Visual History at the Charles University, which is the main Czech access point to the USC Shoah Foundation’s Visual History Archive  (http://vhaonline.usc.edu). From October 2016, he is a visiting post-doctoral researcher at the University of Fribourg (Interaction and Social Practices Research Group – GRIPS; Human Centered Interaction, Science and Technology Research Center – Human-IST).
